Rev. LaDarian D. Brown is the gifted and visionary Senior Pastor of the historic Parkview Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. A native son of Longview, Pastor Brown has dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel, serving people, strengthening families, and helping build a better community.
Pastor Brown is the son of Kelvin Brown and Shaune Pippins. He is a proud graduate of Longview High School and attended Kilgore College. His spiritual formation and ministerial journey were greatly influenced by the late Rev. Vandell Smith and Rev. D. J. Nelson, whose leadership helped shape his commitment to faithful preaching, servant leadership, and ministry beyond the walls of the church.
As the fifth pastor in Parkview Baptist Church’s more than 90-year history, Pastor Brown has embraced the responsibility of honoring the church’s rich heritage while leading the congregation forward with vision and purpose. His ministry is marked by a passion for biblical preaching, spiritual growth, community engagement, developing the next generation of leaders, and creating a church where people of every generation can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
At the heart of Pastor Brown’s ministry is a simple conviction: God has called him not merely to occupy a position, but to serve people. Whether preaching from the pulpit, mentoring emerging leaders, or walking alongside families, Pastor Brown remains committed to pointing people toward Jesus Christ and helping others discover that through faith, vision, and God’s grace, their lives can continue to grow.

Pastor Brown believes that the ministry of the church must extend beyond Sunday morning. His passion for serving others is evident throughout the Longview community. He has served in numerous civic and community leadership capacities, including leadership within the Longview-area ministerial community and service on the Board of East Texas Advanced Academies. His commitment to community service reflects his belief that Christian leadership should make a meaningful difference wherever God provides an opportunity to serve.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Pastor Brown has enjoyed a distinguished career in law enforcement. He joined the Longview Police Department in 2013 after beginning his law-enforcement career as a jailer with the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office. His interest in public service began even earlier as an active member of the Longview Police Department Explorer Program while attending high school.
During his career with the Longview Police Department, Pastor Brown has served in patrol and community-oriented policing assignments, working to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the citizens of the community he has called home throughout his life.
His leadership and commitment to service have been recognized throughout the community, including being named among the Longview News-Journal’s 40 Under 40 honorees in 2022 and receiving recognition as Best Pastor.

Beyond the pulpit, public service, and community leadership, Pastor Brown treasures what he considers one of God’s greatest gifts—his family.
He is married to his best friend, Mrs. Jillian D. Brown, a dedicated educator who serves as a science teacher. Mrs. Brown is a proud graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Together, Pastor and First Lady Brown are the proud parents of their daughter, Lela Danielle.
For Pastor Brown, family, faith, ministry, and service are deeply connected. Whether serving his congregation, his community, or his hometown, he remains committed to living a life that reflects his faith in Jesus Christ and leaves a lasting impact on the generations that follow.
